Our continuous activities are a monthly bible study, collecting items for the Women's Shelter in Rochester, helping to deliver Meals on Wheels in the Kasson-Mantorville area, preparing communion the first Sunday of each month this year, and sending cards to the ill and those facing problems in our church family.

In January we purchased new book shelves for the fireside room, paid for supplies for new fellowship hall banners, contributed $25 to the Interfaith Hospitality program. We had 3 tables in the church refinished, donated money and children's quilts to the Louisiana mission trip. The money for these projects was raised from our Sunshine Fund (donations at each meeting). And we held a rummage sale in April. Also in April, we helped serve the Confirmation Dinner.

In May we filled about 20 May baskets and delivered them to our church family shut-ins. We also helped serve a 100th Birthday Open House for one of our church members.

In November we prepared and delivered 20 fruit baskets to shut-ins. The circle members also donated items to fill shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child and donated $50 for postage for those shoeboxes.  A gift certificate for a local restaurant was given to the retiring UMW President, Marina Castner.

December brought the Jul Bazaar. Our circle, with the help of another church member and our church secretary, did the advertising for the bazaar, collected or made things for Santa's Workshop, made hundreds of wonderful cookies for the bazaar then helped decorate and man the tables of cookies in the cookie walk. We organized the breakfast for December 23rd and also donated some of the egg casseroles and quick breads. We served the breakfast and did the clean-up. This was accompanied by each table doing part of a skit about the Christmas Story. Afterward we all celebrated with a birthday cake!

We have decided to discontinue providing cards to the church family as a money raising project because that service does not seem to be used much. Our members are very are active in other areas of the church also on committees, helping provide hats and mittens for the local Christmas Anonymous program, making sweaters for an outside project, taking part in Adult Choir and Sunday School, assisting the Sunday School by making costumes and helping with other projects. All in all, we are a really busy group of people and really enjoy getting together and tackling big projects for the church family. Everyone works well together and we benefit from many good ideas. Keeping our eyes and ears open to the needs of the church and the community. If this sounds like something you may enjoy doing, please call the church office and say "I want to join Naomi Circle" everyone is welcome.
